Break-even point

Break-even Units

2,778

Break-even Revenue

83,340

How to use

  1. Enter your total fixed costs (rent, salaries, equipment) in the Fixed Cost field.
  2. Enter the selling price per unit and the variable cost per unit.
  3. Read the break-even units and break-even revenue results, which update instantly.
  4. If the selling price is at or below the variable cost, the tool shows a dash indicating no break-even point exists.

Examples

  • Fixed cost 50,000 · price 30 · variable cost 12 gives a break-even of 2,778 units and 83,333 in revenue.
  • Setting variable cost equal to selling price (both 25) shows no margin, so the result displays a dash for both outputs.
